Event Description

Stars are born in swirling clouds of gas and dust, from where they embark on journeys that span billions of years. They evolve by fusing elements and radiating light, only to meet diverse, often dramatic, fates.

At this month's KPL astronomy talk, Dr. Ana Ennis will speak about the life cycles of stars, sharing the factors that shape their destinies, and explaining what this can tell us about the ultimate fate of our own Sun.

Ana Ennis is a postdoctoral researcher in the Waterloo Centre for Astrophysics at the University of Waterloo, and the Perimeter Institute.
