Calling all PRODUCE : HERS! For our final session of 2023, learn the basics of live sound with special guest Shannon Lee.
Shannon Lee (any pronouns) is a recent graduate from the Integrated Musical Arts program at Wilfrid Laurier University, concentrating in songwriting, ensemble performance, and recorded production. Since 2022, Shannon has been working as a live sound technician around the KW region, specifically working as the venue tech at both The Hub and Bobby O’Briens. Shannon takes great pride in being one of the few non-male, BIPOC, and queer techs in the area and enjoys aiding other marginalized musicians in learning live sound as well. When they’re not behind a sound board, Shannon can be found on the other end of the board both writing and performing on stage with their band HouseCat, as well as doing contract work with Sherwood Systems, the Registry Theatre, and other local venues and production companies across the KW region.
PRODUCE : HER Sessions is a monthly program for women, non-binary, trans, and gender expansive people who are interested in music production and the recording arts. We strive to create a queer-friendly and gender affirming space where participants can develop their skills and express their creativity.
