Event Description

Adults ages 50+ are invited for a free morning of social time, learning and fitness. We are partnering with our friends at Lyle Hallman Pool to bring to you an enjoyable Thursday morning every month. We’ll meet at the library to connect, socialize and maybe even learn something new or crafty – afterwards head over to Lyle Hallman pool for a free Aquafit class!

Library Activity 10:00 – 11:00 am
Aquafit Class 11:30 – 12:30

If you haven't joined us for an Active Adults program before, don't worry! New members are always welcome. We can't wait to meet you.

About Artist Lisa Haayen Born in Guelph, Ontario and currently residing in Kitchener, artist Lisa Haayen lives with her husband Konrad, her three wonderful children, and her shadow; a dog named Juno. As a teen she studied visual art privately with artists Brenda Franklin, who specializes in animal portraits, Carolyn Riddle, a print artist, and a broader range of styles later at Sheridan College in Oakville. She has become skilled in various painting mediums like oil, acrylic, and watercolour, and has a fine hand at conte, graphite, and ink drawing. Lisa loves drawing from life, illustrating fiction, and getting expressive with an occasional impressionist piece. Inspired by her love of the outdoors and nurtured by many camping trips in the Canadian wilderness, her works have an organic, naturalistic and often realistic bend. Lisa feels blessed to be able to find so much beauty in the people and world around her. Artist Contact info: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063440455597 lisa.haayen@gmail.com
